-I - did this book 5 years ago with SKR my therapist at that time. -I - really loved it. besides doing it the way the activities stated - I - also branched off and made the activities fit what - I - needed for - MY - therapy plans.
For example -
instead of thinking of a problem and drawing a containment box - I - made one using a shoe box, colored construction paper, glue.
Instead of drawing my mental safe place - I - created a 3 foot by 3 foot by 3 foot diarama / scale medel version of - MY - mental safe place.
Basically SKR and - I - changed how - I- was doing the activities based on what - I - needed and what SKR and - I -were working on at that moment.
It made the activities more personal, individual to - MY - needs and - MY - therapy program
- I - benefitted much more from it because - I - could do more variety of things and add more details them what the activities were asking for and - I - found it so much more fun in the process.
