Sorry, maybe what I said came off as a quip, so let me explain.
1. He clearly does not respect the rules you set in your own house.
2. He clearly does not respect the rules you set in your own car.
3. He does not want you to go out with your friends without him.
Number 3 is the biggest red flag. I have to say that if I was in a relationship with a woman who said something similar to me, it would be the last thing she ever said as my girlfriend.
Ok, maybe he is not a bad person, and everyone has good and bad points, that is true. Just the issues above indicate very strongly that he does not respect you.
