I believe that most studies find positive rewards work best.
You Can just get up and go, or not meet your goal, but you Can choose not to do that.
I believe that punishment simply feeds the nasty beast. Of course, there is a difference between punishment and owning up and addressing your mistakes.
Delayed gratification is a good thing to learn to tolerate...........delayed but attainable.
