I had that strict policy too since I dated a guy with kids before, but then I thought probably I should give him a chance and we had our best five months of our lives together.....
I'm slowing things down right now.....He wanted me to meet them for dinner tonight and I said "NO"....
I need time to myself and he has to understand....
