biplol, I use to do it all the time too. When you're caught or in public situations around your daughter or friends, make it a little louder so the others can hear you and then answer yourself! I use to carry on whole conversations with myself at work, answer too

It amused my workmates (part of my point in doing it) and helped me become more aware of my inner processes/thinking. When the conversation is out loud "you" can be a "third" person and listen to it and get some insight what's going on! I once had a hilarious, spontaneous conversation between my fingers and my brain about a typing mistake, whose fault it had been and then "I" got into it too and had my girlfriend at work almost rolling on the floor laughing.
You probably talk out loud because you want yourself to "hear"/know/learn something, so listen! Enter into it and treat it as just a loveable, quirky thing you do and "help" it and that will let it help you and then you won't need it anymore.
