I'm curious what you guys think about something. I sent a message to someone on allexperts.com about OCD. I sometimes wonder if I have it, but don't have all of the symptoms. I don't know why it matters but I do have issues with trying to label my problems, maybe because then I think I can find a way to be "better" who knows?

Based on your inputs, it sounds like you indeed have some sort of obsessional behaviors, possible a mild OCD. I think you may benefit cognitive therapy, ask your therapist to see if it is right treatment for you. It is about corrective behaviors and replace with something else positive action through cognitive therapy.

You said "I do research and try to reassure myself that I'm OK a lot? I post on message boards and constantly check to see what people say, things like that."

This is considered your rituals and based on information provided, it sounds like you over-worry and reassure yourself. It is not normal behavior.

You made a good move by seeing the therapist for your current problem.

Does this make sense to you guys?

I also read something online yesterday that said one way to tell how intense your OCD issues are is to ask yourself how much someone would have to pay you NOT to do the 'thing' that you do. I feel that I could go a week without going online checking symptoms or asking others for their opinions, but I'd prefer not to. So I don't know where that puts me.

Any feedback?
