Are cravings in the middle of the night specifically an ongoing problem? If so you might try adding a bedtime snack fairly soon before you try to sleep. That way you don't feel empty while you're trying to get comfortable and relaxed. If you're having difficulty sleeping in general, you could also ask your doctor if a sleep aid (either otc or rx) might be appropriate. If peanut butter is a binge trigger food, maybe keep it out of the house for awhile?
I do know what you're talking about. At one point in my life I would get out of bed repeatedly no matter how tired I was for one more b/p. I didn't want to do it, I just wanted to sleep more than anything! But I truly couldn't help myself.
Don't let a set back derail your recovery. Its hard work, and you're allowed to make some mistakes. You're working very hard. Thanks for sharing this. I hope you are feeling better very soon.
