I would keep going, finish what you start, see if you can wholly beat the depression so you have good skills and don't have to yo-yo but can get a life going you are comfortable living; sounds like a lot of moving and change and I'd want to stick to something that was working and appeared to be helpful. As Bill points out, it is a little unusual to not want to do something so important just for inconvenience and traffic reasons, I'd look and see what else might be going down with myself.
