What made you decide to cut back on your med? If yo uare going to take some of it, why not take your normal dose?

I quit effexor cold turkey and it was very hard; the withdrawals were very hard to deal with. I would not suggest doing it on your own. Your psychiatrist is right... it is your choice. He needs to be informed of your decision so he can help you do this slowly.
