Alexandra, seems you thank-God don't have any allergies. How do I know that? cuz if you did you would know that an immediate allergic reaction is possible! It absolutely is! In fact, I get itching in my throat and ears and mouth when I stand near fresh pineapple! I could be in the bedroom and someone cuts open a pineapple in the kitchen and I won't even know it, but I'll yell: "Anyone cutting open a pineapple?" And they'll shout back: "yeah, how do you know?" and i'll yell back, "cuz i feel it in my throat!"
As anyone who has experienced seasonal allergies will attest that they make you itch in your throat and yes, ears too!
