Hi Charla,
Welcome to PC. I think most of us have tried to convince ourselves that if we just try hard enough we can solve our depression, etc, by ourselves. Sometimes it is simply not possible. I've been in therapy with a pdoc and counselor for a long time, and without their help, my life would still be a living Hell.
I hope you can find a way to get the help you need.
