I'm a little late to this conversation... but....

I have been looking at different colleges (i'm a junior in high school) and the first thing i do is check the accomodations office or whatever its called, to see what they are able to provide. I've found that some schools are a lot more accomodating than others. I am curious... have you gone to the disabilites office?

I think that your professor probably hasn't gotten back to you, because it sounds like you have already began the classes, and you are going through the professor, as opposed to the official disabilites office or whatever. he probably wanted to check with them before getting back to you.
