Words can hurt and trigger, I am sorry ((White_Iris))) you had to endure this with your M*...hurtful words directed at a child can break some things that time does not heal easily..at times it may feel like ever..children endure so much... the ramifications of childhood Abuse can be replayed as we grow in linear form... but the words..my gosh the words..can throw us back into that state of being vulnerable, and hurt, and in pain and can trigger us into a dissociative state where we are living the hurt again and again and reacting to it...so be gentle with yourself...
