I'm posting this in the Anxiety/Panic/Phobia thread
in hopes of getting an answer or three

When I'm asked to look for something and when that
something isn't ready to hand, I start searching for it
and tearing through possible places to find it (words
like frantic or frenetic come to mind).
During this time, I am unable to function in any other
matter than carrying out the search.

Is this a normal (inside the ballpark) experience?
Does it suggest an anxiety attack? What else would
have to take place for it to become a panic attack?
I experience it pretty regularly when situations like
this take place; does that have consequences for
the term? Please help; I would be interested in learning
more about this topic.
