Everyone's anxiety lasts different lengths of time.
Seeing a doctor, to rule out everything physical, isn't a bad idea. As is, not doing so much research and self-diagnosis, I've been there, reading things, but usually after a diagnosis, and wow, nothing like adding more stress to an already stressed body and mind.
You may even need to seek a specialist, that deals with anxiety. My experience with general practitioners, is that they don't usually delve into the emotional aspect of health, and focus, primarily on the physical.
