I would be up and out of there - it sounds like they don't value your input and you owe it to yourself to find a more meaningful use of your time. You're clearly unhappy yet it sounds like this is a group you particularly want to stay in - could you start a group of your own along similar lines? Are there other religious groups you could start getting involved in just in case the situation with this one worsens and you want something to fall back on? I had a similar situation volunteering not long ago, i loved what i did but the people were the worst. In the end i decided it was kinder to myself to just let it go and find other ways of being helpful and making a difference. I hope whatever you decide to do works out for the best.
