You're hearing impaired? I've been following your posts for a while now, this is the first I've seen you mention it. I have a little experience in this, some family, a few friends (ie workmates). I would say about the restaurant incident, that the leader thought you were spending so little on your food, that she would buy it. She didnt expect you to be so frugal and she may have been a little embarrassed by it, but it was nothing bad about you.

As for the funny posts, that is probably a common management training type request, to teach you what their standards are. If you want to be a leader in this group, yes you have to follow their rules.

As for repeating stuff - kids do mumble these days! My last couple of years at work were very unpleasant partly because I could not keep up with how fast and low the under-30 crowd spoke. But as an oldster I could also tell when they lacked confidence in what they were saying - that's when they mumbled the most. Dont let them get away with this clearly discriminatory behavior.
