Well...I have chicken, brocolli, and noodles for dinner.
Just saw on FB that one of the teachers at my school is leaving to work in another county closer to her mom. It's a position I wouldn't mind having.

Now to wait for it to post and hope there isn't a transfer veteran teacher who needs placed due to being laid off at the end of last school year due to budget cuts. I would need to add 3 more subjects to my certificate as the state did away with middle grades integrated curriculum as a valid certification (which use to let you teach any academic subject in middle school) and now requires you have separate certification in all the subjects (as well as special education) to teach a self-contained unit. I have math and spec. ed. but I would need English, social studies, and science. Luckily my state has certification for middle school only in those subjects, so it would be easier to pass a test on one of those than a middle/high school level certification test.
I'd be dealing with emotional/behavioral students if I was hired for the position. It would be a challenge, but I was a TA in the unit 2 years ago, so nothing would really shock me...I know what to expect.

As well...it's never a dull day in a behavioral unit. Most that end up in the unit around here have "oppositional defiant disorder". But, they just need someone to be understanding with them.
