Google it: Birth control pills make lamictal less effective (by about half!). So on the sugar pill week, your lamictal will feel/act like you took double.

As for messing with dosages... could it just be in my head??? Maybe, but it feels like it helps (seems to take two or three days to feel a difference). And feels good to have some control over the moods. I don't know, maybe they will try to add an antidepressant too. Just prefer fewer meds if possible.
