I guess making one's bed or washing dirty dishes could be a hobby as well but what do you have/create at the end? Just another day to make the bed again or do the dishes again, or play the came again.

The word games only count if they help you taking tests to get into university or help you write books or "do" something. Everyone is on the band wagon now playing games to keep their brain in tip top shape but I think that does not work and people are fooling themselves (and paying ad campaigns/sites for the privilege).
