I have my days when I ask that very same question. Granted, mine is phrased a bit different because I know the cause of my troubles but the sentiment (existential) is the same. I think that "Why?" is a question as old as time itself. Finding an answer that satisfies you (I believe) will depend upon your philosophy or religion perhaps.
