Had 2 two different stapes prostheses in the past 5 years (in same ear).
Monday, I went to my ear surgeon because I cannot go up in elevation with out severe pain. He cut a small hole in my ear drum and inserted a pediatric sized tube in. He did warn me that my hearing might decline.
Yikes it is worse than I expected... my hearing was already bad on that side, but now I am having a very diffiucult time finding the source of noises... never mind trying to talk to someone...
anyone had a tube put in .... experience loss of hearing from it?? and did your hearing get better after the tube was in for awhile?
