How old is your daughter? You taught her how to take care of the rabbits, right? It was nobody's fault. Just something that happens. It still hurts to lose one though. My last rabbit (angora) died a couple of weeks ago, so I don't have any now. I miss them - they were really neat. Mine were all old when they came, and we had them for a few years. I didn't breed them. For one thing, I know it's hard to keep the kits alive. But any time I even thought about breeding a particular doe, she died. My kids have gradually taken over more and more of taking care of the animals here, too. Sometimes they don't do everything as well as they should, and it is sad when animals suffer because of it, but kids have to learn responsibility too. There are so many things I didn't get done last year because of depression, and I felt horrible about it too. But all you can do is what you can, and there is nothing wrong with letting your daughter take care of the rabbits.
