If you are 16, in high school right? If the psych and soc worker say, no to depression you may not qualify for a counseling wait list they have. I can see your frustration! At the least they could suggest brief counseling somewhere maybe outside school resources, in the community? Try to ask them.Tell them you appreciate what they're doing, but could they find someone you can talk to.
Also the suggestion to talk to an empathic person is good. It is VERY HARD to advocate for yourself,but I know from past experience can be very worth it. Maybe someone older who might understand, or a sibling or friend of another? Good Luck.
