It's almost noon. My stomach is hungry, but I already just had a raisin bagel and a energy drink. Guess I'll have to eat more when I go back out. I just came from a job interview, technically in the city but not too far. Mapquest told me to take the tollway there, but I got there just fine and easily taking my own way. I have no tollway experience whatsoever, and I'm not about to learn taking the tollway--during rushhour--on my way to a job interview! I didn't grow up around tollways, so this suburban life is still new to me. Anyway, the interview was good. She's thinking about considering me for another position, too. If this particular one I went there for today doesn't work out, I could be called back about the other one. It's considered temporary and part-time, but I'll take it. It will still pay more than I'm making now on unemployment, plus it will be a foot in the door to something full-time with benefits there. I'm going to email the person I interview with today to tell her again that basically I'll do whatever it takes to get a position there, temp or perm, part or full-time. I even mentioned to her before that I'll be happy to take two part-time jobs to get full-time hours. She's considering that, especially with my other skills. I've got a chance. Since I had no idea how long it would take me to drive there during rush hour this morning, I left 3 hours early for the interview! I wanted to make sure that I had more than enough time to get there, find the place, and be prepared. The drive was one hour plus five. I suspected an hour to an hour and a half. Not bad! I drove around a little bit after I knew exactly where to go and to park. I eventually came across a Jewel/Osco so I went in there and got a water bottle since I forgot mine, plus a few other things. It was all pretty cheap for what I expected. I figured the City would have a slightly higher tax rate. I'm not complaining.

I've got so much to do and so little time. I know, join the club. Oh, I dried my hair in the car again and it turned out great again. I may skip the hair dryer at home from now on, LOL. The one thing that's gone wrong so far today is that I forgot my raincoat and the weather is severe thunderstorms off and on quite a bit of the day. I do have a coat in the car to use, but it's not the greatest for what I'm wearing. At least the interview is over so I can wear it now if need be. Plus I do have the umbrella. I missed the first wave during the hour-long interview.

Well, I better get busy reading and posting and emailing and shopping and......sigh, so much to do. Would give anything to do this internet stuff at home at night. Catch y'all later!
