I'm glad to hear they give you something to open you up - that makes sense. I had a copper 7 iud back in the 70's - it could be used for women who had never been pregnant because it was so small. Still it was kind of a weird alien feeling as it was being inserted, no drugs, because you're not usually that aware of that specific part of your body. But then you dont feel anything once it's settled in there. So it sounds like the drug-induced cramps might be the hardest part. Good luck out there (or in there!) today
