I support you in whatever you decide to do, but you know, if your T said to call him then apparently HE thinks he can say something helpful, even though you doubt it.

Also..here in America we have this thing called voice mail. If our phone goes off when we are too busy, we can let the call go there and get it when we are less busy.

Maybe if you text him to call when he has time? This way he can decide when it's an interruption or not.
