Maybe just being there has helped calm you all down for now, as your family seems to have a really great attitude towards hospitals and view them as a helpful place! It's a safe and stable location to you, which definitely helps. At home things were more volatile and unstable because none of you knew what to really expect from each other at any given moment. Things are a lot more predictable in a hospital!
