I am taking 5HTP and L-Tyrosine which as a combined therapy is very effective for ADD/ADHD in adults. I take 50 mg of 5HTP in the evening before bed. Make sure you eat something with it when you take it. I also take 50mg of L-Tyrosine before bed too. I take another 50mg of 5HTP at dinner time. You should feel very chilled and relaxed { you may feel tired but this is due to the fact that you have probably been running on overdrive without you even realizing this for god knows how long}. You may also get a slightly fuzzy feeling in your head but this eases within a week of taking these supplements. You also need to take at least 30 minutes exercise a day. You have to do this as this releases endorphins and also reduces the symptoms of ADD/ADHD. You need to avoid stressful situations like rows, disagreements, controversial debates, or literally any kind of tension. Try to avoid taking lots of sugary foods as this will give you a false high and you will come down to earth with a jolt within an hour and the full effects of your ADD/ ADHD will be felt. The big one here is you have to accept that ADD is a part of you. It will NEVER go away. Don't bury your head in the sand. Don't expect miracles. You have to change your entire lifestyle and follow a fairly rigid daily routine. I wish you well my friend. Good luck
