Maybe you could create new activities for sharing fun with your friends...like bowling on saturday afternoon
or having lunch out or going to the mall..I think it is the shared experience/bonding that you are enjoying...Perhaps you can meet at starbucks for morning cafe chats....or lunch dates...
there is a morning music dance place not far from here that has zydeco dance music at 8:30 in the morning on saturday mornings...maybe there is a place that plays music earlier in the day on the weekends...
The changes that we have to make are hard.
I guess you just have to weigh the consequences of your actions against how you feel.
If you are becoming anxious about this then that is not good either and likely to be interferring with your fun with them.
