OR82, hun, .... if somebody came over to you and told you that you were walking in the wrong direction to get to a place, would you be thankful they told you or angry that they pointed out you were in error? (HUGS)
As human beings, we often take sstatements of our personality or behaviour as a criticism instead of helpful advice. Many times, it can be stated in more positive ways, mind you, but, I have learned myself that after so many years of people telling me I am shut off and distant, maybe I am shut off and distant in my behaviour

lol I certainly didn't like to hear it and it was never my intention to be that way. I also did not have a clue how to change it. My feelings were so mixed up and my mind was so full of fears and negative thinking patterns (and I still fight them to this day).
I did have to change a bit of myself though in how I face people and whether or not I was trying to be a person I just was not meant to be. Now, instead of trying to attract the people I am absolutely not at all like, I just partake in activities a bit more reclusive, which matches my comfort zone. The other people more like me tend to do the same kinds of activities and also enjoy more reclusive activities like reading, or trail walking groups or coffee shops, or a park I like to sit in and read.
