I am looking at natural remedies for ADD and this is what seems to be working for me. It is not a miracle cure but it I can tell a difference when I forget to take them. I take them at night because I forget to in the morning.
My "ADD Cocktail":
1) A good multi-vitamin.
2) A calcium, magnesium, & zinc combo [not a milk drinker or a big dairy person], but is supposed to help with with relaxation and stabilizing moods.
3) A fish oil suppliment which is good for the heart and brain.
4) A ginko biloba suppliment which can help concentration, relieve stress & frustration, & is an antioxidant.
5) Lutien...because my eyes are getting older...nothing to do with ADD
6) I drink 2 - 3 cups of coffee or tea a day because many ADHD meds are in fact stimulents and it seems to help. Too much caffiene however makes me very spacy and/or flighty. I have coffee in the morning, coffee or tea in the afternoon, and tea in the early evening.
7) An Emergen-C daily. Contains Vitamin C and B vitamins...anti-oxidents and is supposed to help with immunity & energy.
I was going to add Ginseng at some point to see if it has a positive effect.
Maybe some of this will help you all out......
