Oh how I relate!!

Women's shoes are a nightmare for me. I hardly even check anymore. I wear an 11 wide, but they are only wide in the toe box, so if I find a pair that fit the front they are floppy in the heel. I also have the one foot about a half size bigger than the other.

Years ago I would go to a shoe dept., find a shoe I liked, and ask for a size 11. I did that for years and it was SO frustrating! At some point I got a bit smarter and I would tell the salesperson what I was looking for, and ask them to bring me what they had of that type in an 11. Much less frustration, but I would still go home empty-handed because, of course, they would bring out one ugly shoe.

At this point I have pretty much given up on the idea of cute shoes. Back in 2007 I lost 80 lbs. and my feet didn't change at all. After gaining it all back (meds-Grr!), the only change is now I'm too fat to want to buckle or tie anything.

Sorry for carrying on so, but you don't often get the chance to vent this to anyone. Well I do but no one gets it. Thanks Hamster

I'm now wearing a pair of men's slip on shoes for winter and men's sandals for summer. If I need sneakers I wear a pair of my husband's (some of his shoes are too small for me-nice, not enough that I weigh more than him). Thank God I discovered men's shoes way back when! Now if I knew where transvestite men buy their heels I'd be set
