This is poor practice, and I would find a new prescriber asap----if you have a regular health care provider, it would be worth it to call that person and discuss the situation. It is not okay physically or emotionally to cause this distress by deciding a new med is needed. This is not her decision to make alone anyway. You have a say in this. I am So Sorry this is happening to you ----
I would find a new t. too---I just wouldn't be able to trust someone who would do that to me. My doc. (and anyone in that practice) will, and has, gone out of their way for me when I mess up and run out of my necessary med (that is an as-needed so, I think I'm ok, run out at times and....Wham)---even when it is my own fault. They know how important this is----((maybe my doc having a bipolar family member & knowing me so long helps, but i think they are just very good at what they do))
