I LOVE that book. I attended a women's group once in which we read a chapter at a time and then gathered to discuss what the message in the chapter meant to us. Very nice and very empowering. But, it's not for everyone.

Thanks...I will order it.
I am insecure, but not about my intelligence.
The conversation: T: Do you like to read? Me: Yes, I love to read. T: There is abook I can suggest, but it is difficult to read. I guess you are intelligent enough to read it. Me: A non verbal scowl and wide eyed look.

A prior therapist suggested a book for me "Trauma & Recovery"...however, she knew me fairly well and said that it may be difficult to read emotionally, and was concerned about that. That was a "heavy" book.
My new T, IMHO, is high on herself (good to have high self esteem), probably would be good for me in about a year......she does not understand the PAIN I am in...and how I barely function.
