Rain does not crying connect with not feeling safe or worrying about what others might think at all or is it more about what you wrote with learning not to hide feelings (which could be coming from the same thing)

I think it's great you are learning it isn't a competition with the other grandma ... it's ok to show your love in "Rainbow" ways and to find ways of doing that without it needing to be about how others show their love
