Yes, I have heard of people winning benefits because of depression alone.
I had alot of spinal problems but I was also granted benefits for because I had depression and anxiety too.
I agree, apply now as Septembermorn said, it will be retroactive and I too hired a lawyer because I was denied the first two times. I finally won on the third try after going before the judge but it took me three years from the time I filed.
