Yup. Scary question. I'm trying to work through that issue myself. Not too surprising bf may be worried about saying anything. The issue is a minefield.

Some questions we may ask ourselves:
What is from your own mind, and what is demonic?
Does God speak to us in audible voices, and how do we know it is Him and not our own minds twisted by illness?
Do spirits sound different to hallucinations?
How are we influenced by the spiritual world?
Do we actually have a window into the spiritual dimensions, or are we deluded?
