On Sunday a man that I met briefly a couple of years ago pulls into my driveway and asks me to go to (1) a play at our local theatre to which he has complimentary tickets and (2) a fund raising event at the same theatre in memory of a lovely lady who died suddenly a short while ago. Then he says that I'll have to get my own ticket to the fund raiser. Now I'm so stunned and slow thinking that I say okay. So now I'm thinking, this guy asks me out on our first date and tells me that I have to buy my own ticket. I'm starting not to like him already. What kind of man would do this?

Then I'm doing a walk around my gardens and hear a car horn and my hand goes up automatically to wave and it's my ex who has been warned at least twice by the RCMP to stay away from me. I hope he didn't see me "wave". He'll use it as an excuse to start following me around again.

I really just want to live by myself and not have anything to do with dating or men. I've tried a few times and I can never get it right so I think it's best to just stay single. I'm perfectly happy on my own.
