Given that they just started something may be off medically and physically. so my suggestion is to locate a physician that can rule out such things like anneryism, tumors and so on that may be causing chemical imbalances and pressure at key points in your brain. once those have been ruled out the doctor can recommend a psychiatrist, psychologist or other therapy professional that can help you to get to the bottom of the stress and or memories and or whatever that may be causing you to have night terrors mentally.
Night terrors can be caused by lots of things besides being abused such as stress at work, a death in the family, moving from one town, city, state and or country, alot of people adults and children in the military experience night terrors just because the job is a high stress and high relocation type job.
Hang in there be it physical or mental the best thing I can say is see a medical doctor to rule out the physical and then if it turns out to be mental see the appropiate mental health professionals that can help you with this.
