Akuma, here are a couple of other ideas. If you aren't sure you really want to go black how about going to a store and trying on a black wig? I'm not saying buy the wig, though you could. I'm suggesting trying one on to see if the color suits you. As others have pointed out, black lasts. Be sure you want/like the color before you dye it.
Another idea would be to try one of the very temp dyes that wash out in 8 to 10 washings. The black might last longer than that but it weouldn't last as long.
I'm going to make a kind of negative observation about dying hair black. I've seen way too may people with dyed black hair that it looks artificial. Natural hair color has various shades on the person's head. Dyed black, more so than other colors, doesn't have any variation. It ends up looking fake.
