Yes, thank you. Knew that. It was the word , itself, that is a tad ridiculous. I guess it is just too passe to say water resistant, or water-proof these days. I guess I was thinking about that saying: "a rose by any other name..."

I realize speech and written language changes over time, but geez, hydrophobic? Going a little overboard, I think, in trying to make something sound unique, when it is not. Water-proof is just water-proof, no matter what the material is made of.

I wonder what word could be used for those individuals that come up with what is, obviously, a term coined for marketing purposes.

How 'bout "moronolinguist?" One could even specialize in moronolinguistics, although, I believe "they" already are!!!
