The Garden
(Renee's poem)
A garden I would till
With blooms of rarest scent
With walls secure around
To veil my Love and I
Hours we would spend
In each other's arms
A tale of sweetest love
He would speak to me alone
My weary brow He'd soothe
The broken heart would mend
This spirit cause to sing
And teach my anxious soul to trust
A pledge of truest love
I'd make to Him who loved
That upon a tree was hung
For eternity with me to spend
A vow of faithful trust
I'd make to my Beloved
My life to Him I'd give
And leave the garden nevermore
