Bupropion is the common generic for Wellbutrin XL (I think) It was pulled from distribution as it was not the same class of drug. And it didn't work at all for me. I have great luck with Wellbutrin & have to ask to have the Rx written that way, so my Ins. will cover it.
So, no, I haven't done as well with generics in this particular instance.
