The one very vivid and highly disturbing vision I had was seeing an Arab man raping a young boy out in the desert while another boy was in the car. I remember it was an old yellow car and they were out by some rock formations in a desert setting. In another bad vision I saw a truck getting into a head-on collision, nothing deadly, but I saw it like I was the driver. The truck I was in was a big white truck being hit by a big black GMC truck. And usually after a minute or sometimes less, the scenes vanish. But I'm always awake. The only difference is I have my eyes closed. I have never told a doctor about this either. I told my pastor and he thinks it could be some sort of second sight, like actually seeing something that someone else has experienced, and that it could be paranormal. I am afraid to tell the doctor because I don't want them to think I'm crazy. I've never had it happen the way you stated, but only when I first wake up.

What you are describing sounds like a hypnogogic (or hypnopompic I can never remember which) state. It is the state where we are not quite awake but not quite asleep. The dreams we have can appear to us as we are waking up making them seem much more real than normal. I have experienced this myself but not in the extreme way you describe. For me it was a knocking sound. I thought there must be someone at the door and answered it. Only then did I realise it was 3 in the morning. I dont think my experiences are due to this state as I was fully awake for all of them. It is an interesting idea though. Thanks for sharing.
