I just learned how to knit cables, and I've made two projects so far, a coffee cup holder and a leg warmer. Here's a pic of them. The coffee cup holder, just needs to be sewn up into a circle.
The reason the legwarmer flares at the bottom, is because I've used a Russian lace castoff, which is stretchy.
Now on to knit the other leg warmer.
