Do what you can and leave the rest... baby steps on this. Both those items communication and cooperation are not developed overnight but through a long process... (even for singletons to realize we have an inner battle of conflicting desires and to learn how to resolve those issues is big too!)

Can you find ways to communicate that aren't so emotional or conflicting? Cooperation doesn't mean always giving in.
