It's not about your behavior. It's about your fundamental value as a person, even if we wish your behavior were different.
Some of us have been where you are, arguing against actions we know we have to take sometime, shooting down every measure that would actually improve our situations. Because we've been there, we keep throwing out those suggestions knowing that you're still thinking about them and absorbing information even while you're shooting us down. LOL.
