It's just one of those things that you realize you were more or less born with. Like anyone, we all have quirks and differences about us, and in one way or another we all draw the short end of the stick in regards to something.

For the case of clinical depression it's an unfortunate case of just that, but it is definitely neither crippling for someone's life nor is it a death sentence for someone's happiness. All of us affected have had to learn to deal with this issue, so do know you're not at all alone. If you force yourself to focus on positive, relaxing, or positively stimulating activities, your therapy and medication will fill the gaps. You will be fine, just do your best.
