How old are your children? I think most young adults forget that there's anything else going on in the world other than their own lives... Children are pretty selfish really, and I think most take their parents for granted.. seems to be the way anyway.

I know it's painful, but now they've flown the nest, it's time to think of yourself. This is your time now! Have a second childhood yourself, get out and about, do things, have fun. Explore the world even?! Enjoy not being tied down to washing, school-runs, worrying all the time about them, etc. If they want to live their lives their way (which there's nothing wrong with that) then you live your life your way! If you need some support, have you friends you can talk to? Or if uncomfortable with that and things are more serious, perhaps think of seeing a therapist? I know it can be a bitter pill to swallow when family are not there for us, but it means that we have to find other ways to get the support we need. We can't make family be who we want them to be..

Hugs.
Thanks for this!
